Even so, capital markets in Asia remain much smaller, less dynamic, and more risk averse than their USA and other big market counterparts. As a result, funds tend not specialise, and are more general in focus – which is both an advantage and disadvantage. Advantageously, they tend to have less restrictive mandates, which means more potential investors for each new deal.
